Patanjali Kesh Kanti Anti-Dandruff Hair Cleanser Review

Heylo Everyone, How was your weekend? I watched “Zootopia” with Mr Husband and we’ll review it soon on our lifestyle blog twosomelife. I have been suffering from dandruff problem since my visit to Belgium in winters. The sudden climate, water and food change took a tole on my scalp and gave me dandruff problem. So I have been trying to cure it and hence came across Patanjali Kesh Kanti Anti-Dandruff Hair Cleanser. I have just finished the bottle so I’m ready to share my views on it.

About Patanjali Kesh Kanti Anti-Dandruff Hair Cleanser:

Patanjali kesh kanti anti dandruff hair cleanser is an herbal cleanser. It contains rosemary & tea tree oil which removes dandruff from hairs & enhances hair glow.

Price, Quantity & Shelf-life:

110/- INR for 200ml. 24 Months of shelf-life.

Performance of Patanjali Kesh Kanti Anti-Dandruff Hair Cleanser:

Packaging:

Packaging of Patanjali Kesh Kanti Anti-Dandruff Hair Cleanser is sturdy and flip open cap shuts tightly but It is not an easy just flip-shut cap, you need to make the effort to shut it properly, I was careless once and just flipped shut it like other shampoos and when I picked up the bottle next time and saw the cap was not shut properly 😐 I do not like the packaging because of the cap. Also 200ml bottle is bulky to travel with.

Color, Consistency and Smell:

Patanjali Kesh Kanti Anti-Dandruff Hair Cleanser is light green colored shampoo with thick consistency. It smells strongly of tea-tree and rosemary(listed in ingredients) and the smell can be bothersome to many. It doesn’t linger for long post wash.

Performance:

Patanjali Kesh Kanti Anti-Dandruff Hair Cleanser lathers extremely well and I was not expecting such lathering giving it is herbal shampoo but surfactant base in base ingredients explains the lather(I wasn’t expecting this either). I dilute it with some water and then apply it on my scalp and hair, this way you can avoid product build-up. I do not need much shampoo to cleanse my hair and scalp. I always go for 2 washes with any shampoo to make sure my hair and scalp is clean. It cleans my hair and scalp nicely, makes hair soft and smooth, gives little volume to my hair and tames the frizz as well(yuhoo). My hair do not feel dry even if I skip conditioner and do not look flat either if I follow up with conditioner.

Coming to anti-dandruff claims, It reduces the itchiness of scalp and cleans the flakes hence reduces appearance of dandruff but it definitely does not cure the dandruff.

What I like:

• Reasonable priced.


• Reduces flakiness and itchiness.


• Cleanses hair and scalp well(even oiled hair).


• Lather well.


• Makes hair soft, smooth and voluminous.


• Conditions hair and scalp.


• Controls the frizz.


• Does not cause any hairfall.

What I do not like:

• Surfactant base(They should have mentioned what kind of surfactant base).


• Packaging.(the cap annoys me)


• Does not cure dandruff.


• Smell is very strong.

Final Verdict: 3.5/5

Patanjali Kesh Kanti Anti-Dandruff Hair Cleanser works great as a hair cleanser but it does not fulfill the anti-dandruff claim completely. It reduces appearance of flakes and itchiness of scalp because it is great cleanser but it does not do much for dandruff.

Recommended: Yes for very mild dandruff and if you do not mind surfactant based shampoo. No if you have severe dandruff issues.

Repurchase: No.

SaND Oh Curcumal Facial Cleanser Review

For past few months I have finally took out all products samples I have received in my subscription boxes/bags and trying them out and finishing them off So there are going to be bombarding of reviews of a lot of samples. Today I’m here with review of SaND for Soapaholics Oh Curcumal Facial Cleanser(or let’s just call it SaND Oh Curcumal Facial Cleanser).

About SaND for Soapaholics Oh Curcumal Facial Cleanser:

Cultivated from the fields of Southern India, our Wild Turmeric blended into our earthy Gram Flour creates a cleanser for all complexions. To enhance the strength and scent of the cleanser we added our Grapefruit Essential Oil. This oil is delicately distilled over a wood fire from Grapefruit that is cultivated from our towering 40 feet trees. As if it wasn’t enough, we threw in the plant of immunity, Aloe Vera, for good measure! See that uneven tan fade away, as tranquility sinks in.

How to Use:

Take a small amount, mix with water and blend into a paste. Massage face for a minute and rinse off with warm water.

Price, Quantity & Shelf-life:

150/- INR for 30gm

250/- INR for 50gm

500/- INR for 100gm.

Shelf Life: 4 months from date of packing.

Ingredients:

Every 10gm contains Vegetable Glycerine (30.28%), Gram Flour Pdr. (Cicer arietinum) (28.28%), Kaolin (21.21%), Turmeric Rhizome Ext. (Curcuma Longa) (7.07%), Aloe vera Leaf Gel (7.07%), Honey Liq. (3.54%), Ess.Oil blend of Lemon Fruit (Citrus medica), Tea Tree (Melaleuca leucadendron) & Grapefruit (Citrus decumana) (1.70%), Oil of Turmeric Rhizome (Curcuma longa) (0.85%).

My Experience with SaND Oh Curcumal Facial Cleanser:

Packaging:

SaND Oh Curcumal Facial Cleanser sample comes in a tiny golden plastic tub with same color plastic screw open lid. Product Ingredients and instruction to use are written on it. though sample is travel friendly but full-size is not a travel friendly version.

Texture & Scent:

SaND Oh Curcumal Facial Cleanser is gritty paste and more like ubtans or gram flour facepacks you make(Look at the ingredient list). It smells pretty herbal may be due to essential oil mix but scent doesn’t linger for long.

Performance:

SaND Oh Curcumal Facial Cleanser has all natural ingredients. It does the cleansing job pretty well. It removes all the dirt, grim and oil without drying out the skin even in winters. It is slightly gritty that is why it gives mild scurbbing effect and removes dead skin cells and give a smooth and soft skin post wash. For testing it’s effectiveness at cleansing, I removed my makeup with oil, wipe off excess oil with cotton and then washed my face with it, it removed all oil residue from my face. But do not expect it to remove makeup on its own (Anyways it is a good practice to remove makeup before washing your face for effective cleansing )

Noe if I look at the ingredient list, I think it is our very old gram flour ubtan with a mix of kaolin clay and essential oils. So if you can do this DIY then you do not need to invest in it. But if you are a lazy bumm like me and cringe at the thought of doing DIY facepacks then this can be a great buy for you.

What I like about SaND Oh Curcumal Facial Cleanser:

• All natural ingredients. No Chemicals.


• Does not irritate my sensitive skin.(Try small size first as few people are sensitive to essential oils)


• Deep cleansing effect.


• Mild scrubbing effect.


• Does not leave any film bnehind.


• Does not make skin dry.


• For all skin types.


• Reasonable price tag given the ingredients.

What I do not like about SaND Oh Curcumal Facial Cleanser:

• Smell can be bothersome for few.


• availability is an issue.


• Non-travel friendly packaging.

Final Verdict: 4.75/5

For me SaND Oh Curcumal Facial Cleanser is a winner. I would love to repurchase it if I could find it online. It is free from harmful chemical, it has goodness of all natural skin-friendly ingredients. It gives mini facial effect to skin. My skin loves it.

Recommended: Yes if you do not want to DIY it.

Repurchase: Yes, As I’m lazy to do DIYs on regular basis 😀

Cuccio Naturale Butter Blend Papaya & Guava Review

Today’s post is a mini review of Cuccio Naturale Butter Blend Papaya & Guava. I have received 9.2gm sample of Cuccio Naturale Butter Blend Papaya & Guava in my fabbag . It is a multipurpose butter which can be used as hand, feet and body butter. I have tried and tested it in 2 kinds of weather and here I am to present my opinion on it.

My Experience with Cuccio Naturale Butter Blend Papaya & Guava:

Packaging:

I have sample size which is in tube form. Full size product comes in a tub packaging with product name and details written on it. This sample tube is travel friendly and I carried it in my handbag or even my pants’s pocket sometimes 

Texture & Smell:

The texture of Cuccio Naturale Butter Blend Papaya & Guava is whipped butter like. It is light weight, spreads like butter and seeps into skin without leaving residue and doesn’t feel greasy at all. It smells mild and great.

Performance:

I mostly used it as hand and feet butter. Now coming to the moisturization part, whenever I read body butter or butter blend, I imagine good dose of moisturization but with Cuccio Naturale Butter Blend Papaya & Guava this is not the case. Though my hands and feet feel instantly soft and smooth on application but they don’t feel hydrated for a longer period. I have normal skin but my hands and feet becomes a little dry due to frequent washing and long exposure in AC environment. It does not suffice hydration need of my very slightly dry hands and feet. Moisturizing effect lasts for 1-2 hours and after that I need to reapply it to keep off the stretchy feeling. It worked better in summers but in winters it was a fail for me.

What I Liked about  Cuccio Naturale Butter Blend Papaya & Guava:

• Buttery smooth for entire body.


• Spreads like butter and seeps into skin without leaving anything behind.


• Feels very light on the skin


• Leaves skin extremely soft and smooth.


• Perfect for summers.


• Mild fragrance.

What I don’t like about Cuccio Naturale Butter Blend Papaya & Guava:

• The moisturizing effect isn’t long lasting.


• Literally burns hole in pocket.


• Contains Parabens (Seriously!!! at this price tag too?).


• Not easily available.

Final Verdict: 2.5/5

It is pretty average super costly butter blend which does not provide sufficient moisture and hydration for longer duration to normal to dry skin. It might work well for oily skin but definitely not recommended for normal and dry skin.

Recommended: Not really.
Repurchase: No. It is way too costly and contains parabens.

Ethnic OOTD Featuring INCOCU Customizable Jewelry & Daniel Wellington

Today’s post is special outfit post as focus is on accessories. I have noticed that most of my OOTD’s are featuring Ethnic wear I love ethnic wear. So today’s post is once again my favorite Ethnic OOTD Featuring INCOCU Customizable Jewelry & Daniel Wellington Watch.

I love anarkali suits but I experiment with different styles and detailing. I really loved the pastal aqua and hot pink combination of this particular dress but what really caught my attention was lace detailing at the flare of this anarkali. It is beautiful, isn’t it?

 

I flaunted this Ethnic OOTD in daytime so I kept my makeup light and opted to stick to pink hues I went for pinky brown eyemakeup along with gel liner on my lower and upper waterline as well as lashline. I coated my lashes with mascara. For lips I went for combination of 2 shades from sleek lip palette (Review coming soon)

 

 

Now coming to the stars of this post today. I have come across an Indian website INCOCU which customizes gold jewelry. As I have said earlier also that I prefer expensive jewelry to be customized as per my choice but in ECom Market there was a gap of customized jewelry. So I was pretty impressed to know that an Indian website is customizing expensive jewelry. They customize all kind of gold jewelry (White, Yellow and Rose) with good quality Stones and Diamonds. I opted for Classic Black Drop earrings which complemented this Ethnic OOTD perfectly.

I decided to go for all gold jewelry. My gold bracelet and rings in one hand. In other hand I wore my Daniel Wellington Dapper Watch, hehe yes I have a fetish for Men’s watches 😛

• You do not need to be a nailart expert


• When topped with top coat these stay put for 4-5 days depending upon how much chores you do using hands.


• Without top coat, these stay put for 3 days.

What I do not like about buyincoins nailart stickers:

• Some tiny designs might get damaged if you use your hands to peel or stick stickers.(Use tweezers for best application)
