ParachuteAdvansed DIY Hamper

Methi:

If your hair is craving a solution to its monsoon hair woes like frizz, static flyaways and limpness, look no further than the hydrating goodness of Methi.

DIY: Soak 2 tablespoons of Methi seeds overnight in 1 cup of water and blend into a paste the next day. Add the paste to ½ a cup of yogurt and 1 tablespoon of Parachute Advansed Hair Oil. Apply the hair mask to the scalp & hair ends, and leave it on for 30 minutes before washing it off.

Oats:

If you don’t want bad hair days to last the entire season,  make Oats your hair’s best friend. It will trap the moisture in and tame the frizz out in a jiffy!

DIY: Blend ½ cup Oats, 2 tablespoon of coconut oil, and ½ cup milk into a paste. Apply this hair mask to your scalp and you hair as well. These ingredients are enough for shoulder length hair. If you have longer hair, make sure you double it up!

Aloe Vera Gel:

The rainy months of humidity leave your locks parched. Quench your hair’s thirst with Aloe Vera- a natural humectant that attracts moisture and restores your hair’s hydration from within.

DIY: Blend in 3 tablespoons of Aloe Vera gel with 3 tablespoons of Parachute Advansed Hair Oil using a fork (for shoulder length hair; double up the ingredients in case of long hair). Apply the gel on your hair and scalp. You could even wrap your hair up with a hot towel for the oil to penetrate deeper and faster into the scalp.

Shikakai Powder:

Make your hair strong from within with the Ayurvedic nourishment of Shikakai. With its strengthening, anti-fungal, and shine- promoting properties, no monsoon winds can stand a chance!

DIY: Mix 1 tablespoon of Shikakai powder with 1 cup of coconut oil. Shake vigorously, and let the mixture rest for 2 weeks. Keep shaking it in the middle as well. After 2 weeks, your Shikakai oil will be ready to use.

Till next time…take care…xoxo.

The Liebster Award : Late Post

The great thing about blogging world is you get to know new people with common interests and few of them becomes good friends you cherish. Also it feel great that fellow bloggers acknowledge your work and share a token of appreciation as well. The Leibster Award is one such token of appreciation. OOTD Evening gown

I always wanted to wear those super gorgeous red-carpet looking evening gowns but could not find the one that immediately grabs my attention. Then I while checking out dresslink one evening gown caught my eye and I immediately grabbed it. You have seen it in my dresslink haul here.

Women Lace Formal Ball Prom Evening Party Cocktail Dress

My dresslink order reached me right before my birthday so what could have been better occasion to flaunt this gorgeous evening gown than my birthday dinner. And here I am with exclusive pictures of my OOTD Birthday Dinner featuring Evening Gown 🙂

How to style an Evening gown

The dress has has lace detailing in yoke and boat neck with lace sleeves. The lace detailing has given the hourglass bodycon fitting to the dress. I have decided to keep everything else minimal so that the dress gets all the attention it deserves. I wore my silver metal scales handcuff, my DW dapper watch and silver stud earrings. As i have mentioned in my haul post that the sizing of the dress is not perfect, it is a bit loose yet shorter in length so I have decided to go for low-heel silver wedges. I decided to carry black clutch to go with the black lace detailing of dress.

OOTD Birthday Dinner Outfit Evening gown

I have decided to keep my makeup minimal as well. Just dark kohl rimmed eyes with thick eyeliner and red lips completed the look. I have blow-dried my hair to give a sleek look.

Enjoy the pictures…

Sorry the pictures look a bit grainy because it was a pool-side dinner arrangement therefore the light was a bit dim. But I have decided to share it anyhow because evening gowns are meant for evenings like this right!!! 😛

I totally enjoyed flaunting this though it would have been even better if the fitting was right. Do Let me know how you find this OOTD featuring evening gown. I would love to hear your suggestions/thoughts.

Oriflame Pure Colour Lipsticks : Coral Rose, Black Cherry, Desert Rose : Review and Swatches

Heylo Ladies,

How have you been?A few days back I have reviewed Oriflame Pure Colour Intense Lipsticks in 4 shades and today I’m here with review of Oriflame Pure Colour Lipsticks in 3 shades. These both are separate ranges of lipsticks. While Oriflame Pure Colour Lipsticks are moderately pigmented lipsticks with creamy and few shimmery shades, Oriflame Pure Colour Intense Lipsticks are more intensely pigmented, creamy and sans shimmer 🙂 Presenting Oriflame Pure Colour Lipsticks Coral Rose, Black Cherry and Desert Rose.

Oriflame Pure Colour Lipstick

About Oriflame Pure Colour Lipsticks:

Really smooth and creamy, conditioning lipstick that moisturises. The huge range of beautiful, bold shades means you’ve got a colour for every occasion. Try them all!

Price & Quantity:

139/- INR for 2.5gm. 199/-INR for 4gm.

Product codes for 2.5gm and 4gm packaging are different.

Ingredients:

OCTYLDODECANOL, RICINUS COMMUNIS SEED OIL, BIS-DIGLYCERYL POLYACYLADIPATE-1, PENTAERYTHRITYL TETRAISOSTEARATE, MICA, BIS-DIGLYCERYL POLYACYLADIPATE-2, POLYETHYLENE, CERA MICROCRISTALLINA, COPERNICIA CERIFERA CERA, CANDELILLA CERA, SYNTHETIC FLUORPHLOGOPITE, TOCOPHERYL ACETATE, ALUMINA, CALCIUM ALUMINUM BOROSILICATE, SILICA, PARFUM, PROPYLPARABEN, TALC, BHT, TIN OXIDE, TOCOPHEROL, CI 77891, CI 17200, CI 77491, CI 15850, CI 77499, CI 77492, CI 45410, CI 16035, CI 19140, CI 42090

My Experience with Oriflame Pure Colour Lipsticks:

Oriflame Pure Colour Lipsticks comes in black bullet with transparent cap so you can see the colour from top. Packaging is not very sturdy and if you drop them often, you’ll end up breaking the cap.

Oriflame Pure Colour Lipstick Review and Swatches

I would advise not to apply pressure while applying lipstick else lipstick might from the base specially in hot weather. I broke 2 of mine.

Oriflame Pure Colour Lipstick Coral Rose, Black Cherry & Sesert Rose Review & Swatches

The texture of these lipsticks is creamy and pigmentation is light to medium. I apply a layer and blot and repeat it upto 3 layers.

Oriflame Pure Colour Lipstick Coral Rose, Black Cherry, Desert Rose Swatches

Staying power of these lipsticks is average. They survive for about 3 hours with slight sipping and munching. These transfer a lot hence are completely gone after a full meal.

Now coming to the shades in review, I have tried my best to click the swatches in different light.

Coral Rose: Product Code – 23545(2.5gm)

It is beautiful coral peach colour and applies quite evenly on lips(Which is good because I have 3 lipsticks by different brands in this shade and they apply patchy). This is a beautiful shade and i love it but this can look washed out on few skin tones.

Oriflame Pure Colour Lipstick Coral Rose Swatches

Black Cherry: Product Code – 23553(2.5gm)

This is a beautiful cherry shade. This shade looks good on all skintones.

Oriflame Pure Colour Lipstick Black Cherry Swatches

Desert Rose: Product Code – 23545(2.5gm)

This is blue based light pink shade with shimmers in it. Shimmers are not very loud and looks good on lips as they give nice sheen to the shade. This shade is good MLBB shimmery shade but a bit tricky to get even application.

Oriflame Pure Colour Lipstick Desert Rose Swatches

Final Verdict: 3.5/5

Oriflame Pure Colour Lipsticks are averagely pigmented creamy lipsticks with average staying power. If you like intense shades then you should check out Oriflame Pure Colour Intense Lipsticks range instead(Swatches here). If you get these on discount, I would say grab a few shades 🙂

Recommended: Yes but go for smaller 2.5gm packaging.
Repurchase: Yes but other shades.

I hope you enjoyed my review and swatches of Oriflame Pure Colour Intense Lipsticks Coral Rose, Black Cherry and Desert Rose. Have you tried any of Oriflame Pure Colour Intense Lipsticks? You have any suggestion on shades I should try next? Share your thoughts in comment section below.

Till next time…take care…xoxo.

My Aplava.com Haul & Site Review

Heylo Everyone,

Monsoon is here 🙂 It has been raining continuously since Friday night. I have seen aplava.com doing rounds in blogging world lately and I liked that they have personalised beauty profile option. So when Aplava team approached me to try their website and review it, I accepted (afterall, I don’t want to shop said no girl ever :D) So keep on reading to know about my haul and my shopping experience with Aplava.com.

Aplava.com Haul & Site Review

These days I shop everything online so I’m always on lookout for new websites and great deals and blogging world does not disappoint me. Aplava creates a personalised beauty profile by asking all skin and hair related questions and based on that you can shop by recommendations. BUT this beauty profile does not get saved so next time you click on shop by recommendation it will take you through same process of creating beauty profile again which is frustrating. I wish they save the profile and then provide the option to edit it if someone wants to make changes.

Coming to the product ranges, they have majorly personal care products, skin care, hair care etc and little bot of makeup as well. They have brand variety also. For a start up e-com site they have fair amount of brands and products range but they really need to ramp that up.

Now coming to my shopping experience, my order got delivered in 7 days which is not very fast but okayish. My parcel came packed really well and all the things were carefully bubble-wrapped.

Aplava.com Haul

Now Lets have a look at my shopping haul:

My Aplava.com Haul

I have placed order for 3 things:

  1. DERMALOGICA Clear Start Today, Clear Skin Tomorrow.

  2. DERMALOGICA Clear Start Tonight, Clear Skin Tomorrow.

  3. Coloressence Intense Liquid Lip Color.

Now here was once again a challenge, I have received a call from their customer care saying “DERMALOGICA Clear Start Tonight, Clear Skin Tomorrow” is out of stock, can we replace it with “DERMALOGICA School Day Essential Kit” which also serves the similar purpose. I thought in my mind “yeah I saw this kit too and if i wanted this i would have ordered this only not the one that I ordered..” but anyways I said yes. But really!!! one suggestion… check the stock before someone places the order not after.

So here are the 3 things which arrived:

Things I bought from Aplava

1. DERMALOGICA Clear Start Today, Clear Skin Tomorrow:

DERMALOGICA Clear Start Today, Clear Skin Tomorrow

This is my first dermalogica product and it is day care travel size CTM kit.

2. DERMALOGICA School Day Essential Kit:DERMALOGICA School Day Essential Kit

I ordered night time CTM travel size kit but that was out of stock so I got this replacement which is kit including toner, spot fix and moisturizer sample.

3. Coloressence Intense Liquid Lip Color – Flirty Fuschia:

Coloressence Intense Liquid Lip Color

I have been looking for these liquid lipsticks for quite a long time and I have found it here. You can check out these lipsticks online on aplava.

I have also received this coupon code and thank you note:

Aplava.com Coupon Code

Overall I have good shopping experience with Aplava.com, they have good customer support and good delivery but there is need of few improvements as well like saving personalised beauty profile, enhanced search option and inclusion of more attractive offers.

Have you shopped from Aplava.com? how was your experience? Please leave your thoughts in comment section below.

Till next time…take care…xoxo.

p.s. Partially Sponsored haul but that does not alter my honest opinion.
